Satine comes from various species of Brosimum and grows in Brazil, Venezuela, Peru, Panama, French Guiana, Colombia, Guyana, and Suriname. The bottle stopper base is made from FDA food approved solid stainless steel. This is used because stainless steel will not pit or corrode like chrome and other cheaper plated models. This stopper also utilizes a multiple o-ring system which creates an air tight seal to keep your wine fresh as the day you opened the bottle. As with all my wine stoppers it comes packaged in a velour drawstring pouch which is great for gift giving or storage.

This is a maple and dark walnut laminate. Walnut is an open grained wood and we chose not to fill in the pours of the wood to give a final product that has a nice gloss finish but allows you to get a 'feel' of the wood.
